Rogue X-Men Costume -a 2 Second Thrift Store Project

October 24, 2013 | Halloween, Parties, Shopping

So I had a Halloween costume party that I wanted to come up with something good for- also my friends had been talking about dressing up as different members of X-Men

So I decided to go with Rogue- she’s pretty, she’s got good hair, and she’s not that hard to dress up as!

I went to the thrift store and found a black leather jacket- also found a leather skirt and a green long tank top- I was going for something like this look

but obviously I’m not Kristen Stewart

I already had boots and the belt so the last thing to get was white hair extensions

I went and found some white weave and made it work by cutting it up and hot gluing it to hair extension clips

then I printed out (or the hubby printed out) the X-Men logo and colored it in with Sharpies and safety pinned it onto the jacket and glued it on the belt

if I had had more time I think I would have tried to make this out of cloth and ironed it on or something but at this point I was happy to get anything done ๐Ÿ™‚

and it turned out pretty well!

Well I don’t know how many people knew I was Rogue but whatever, I knew!

also don’t forget the gloves as I almost did!

Because Rogue kills people if she touches them…so don’t want any accidents ๐Ÿ™‚

So anyway I was pretty proud of my two second thrown together Rogue costume-

Now I’m wanting to do another costume- maybe cinderella? I’m always a big fan of being a Disney princess ๐Ÿ™‚
