My YHL thrift store challenge find- part 2

February 7, 2013 | House projects

I found this awesome box during my thrift store challenge part 1 shown right here and decided I should use it to organize my button collection!

I got most of these from my grandma but have collected some for myself as well-

I remember as a child being super excited if I found buttons at the craft store to buy! Some of my favorites are the mother-of-pearl and a small Carolina Herrera button that has a hummingbird on it (reminds me of The Hunger Games!)~

They were hidden in a closet and I decided it was about time to bring them out and actually use them perhaps!

I’m always losing buttons so I decided to organize them into white/clear, black/dark colors, and misc/colored buttons

Started with my box-

Organized the buttons- bam!

and put it on my shelves looking pretty!

Since my wedding photos just got posted I’ve been back into stalking weddings again and found a wonderful centerpiece tutorial on Green Wedding Shoes

Decided to do this for my dining room table since currently it is quite bare.

Thankfully I already have leftover succulents from my wedding (those things just will not die!) and I’m fairly sure I can find a piece of grapewood somewhere.

I decided to buy the foam iglu’s on Etsy and will give this a try when they come in!
