Living Room/Dining Room/Kitchen House Tour 2015!

January 19, 2015 | House, House Decorations

So I finally put together all the ideas I had in my mind and updated my house for 2015! Still have maybe a couple of things to do (stencil behind couch or stencil dining room wall? Console table behind couch?) but in general I feel like I’m pretty finished with the kitchen/dining room/living room in our house.

Which is an awesome feeling-

So here you go! The finally for real finished this time completed living room/dining room/kitchen tour

Ship Chandelier over dining room table

My beautiful ship chandelier is up (hung and hardwired it myself-there might have been some or alot of sweat/tears involved)

-So I originally found it on Craigslist and fell in love- waited for a while to see if it would go down and the post was deleted…boo…then found it again on Ebay (yay) and got the price down quite a bit- found out the ship was pretty close and I drove to pick it up- the lady who I purchased it from said it was an Italian mid century antique that she purchased at an antique store in Washington- its even got two little lifeboats on either side!

Also love my new Johannes Andersen and JL Moller 77 chairs (all found on Craigslist)! You can see the befores here–

Looking out from the kitchen-

The dining room table really was a good buy as well- it has extra leaves that expand it out to the perfect size to entertain my family (we’ve got quite a large group)

My hubby put up under cabinet lighting that I purchased from Amazon here really easy to put up and so far looks good!

looking into the living room you can get a little glimpse of the Moroccan rug and antique oil painting gallery wall as well as an indoor plant my MIL purchased for me (hopefully I can keep this one alive!)

oil painting gallery wall

So these oil paintings are some of my very favorites (post here) and they are either by Alfred Vickers or unknown- all purchased on Ebay- also couldn’t leave out my leather rhino head! The different colored gold frames really bring the gallery wall together-

The new rug is comfy and I think it blends in better over the jute (less of a contrast than the previous rugs) also I now have way too many rugs..

some details include the wine barrel tray/lazy susan that wedding guests signed (now holding booze and a cute cocktail calendar from my friend Chelsea with Southern Fried Paper)

Can’t believe these Moller chairs originally looked like this– found someone on Etsy to redo them that was in the area

and this is the chandelier lit up- looking good 🙂 Behind it is artwork I put up (see this post)- also candleholders from this thrift store post
