So I already posted about where I got my wedding dresses and accessories here but I never really did a full post about my awesome bridals that I won in a charity auction!
Chelsea from Southern Fried Paper threw an event for a friend of hers with a small child who had medical needs-
She had vendors that she knew in the wedding business offer up items that we could bid on in a silent auction- I just happened to be the winning bidder for a lovely package by
photographers Ben Q Photography
Styling and Design by Birds of a Feather
Hair and Makeup by Kendra Gregory
Wedding Cake by Sugar Bee Sweets
Floral Design by Bows and Arrows
They all did such a great job and I was even featured in a Style Me Pretty post! And I got Photo of the Week from Brides of North Texas magazine!
So I have to say that these vendors were AWESOME to work with and did such a good job and I felt kind of like a model which was super fun!
This was my J. Mendel dress that I bought on Ebay for $200 and had altered (moving the piece from the front to off the shoulder)
And this was my Atelier Aimee dress that I bought on preownedweddingdresses.com and altered the neckline a bit by adding more chiffon (for more “coverage”)
They did such an incredible job styling! Antique furniture, birdcage, crab apples (already provided by the trees!) and beautiful floating book art~
Loved the bouquet- it had so many soft and amazing smelling flowers/herbs in it!
The anemones were so pretty
The cake was cool too! Loved the birch look around the bottom and the feathers
The location was 3825 S. Bowen -I was the first photo shoot at this location and it was perfect!
I had told the stylists that I was looking for kind of a Hunger games/medieval/victorian look
so how they actually came up with this awesome look is beyond me since my directions were totally weird/crazy!
This dress was so comfortable it was practically like wearing pajamas 🙂
My veil came for free with my Atelier Aimee dress and I definitely loved wearing it- It’s so fun being a bride! Now I just get to relive the moment through blog posts 🙂
Cute porch swing- I want one of these some day!
Haha one of my hunger game poses 🙂
These shoes were pretty tall and pretty uncomfortable- I would say one tip for your wedding day…wear comfortable shoes at the ceremony
