So this Mother’s Day we decided to have my family come over after church for brunch at our place and then we had my hubby’s parents come over for dinner! SO MUCH FOOD!
But it was delicious and I think the mom’s were happy about their day which was the most important part 🙂
For brunch I went CRAZY and decided to do a brunch patterned after a Mother’s day brunch from Chef Dat (a local underground chef who’s also a great friend of ours)
First course
Amazing blackberry scones and jam and broiled brown suger topped grapefuit that my sister made
Pinterest / Search results for blackberry scones
Pinterest / Search results for brown sugar grapefruit
Super good!
Second course
I made a crab eggs benedict with Paula Deen’s recipe from Foodnetwork right here– it turned out great!
The toughest part was poaching all the eggs so leave time for that-
Third course
Pumpkin Pancakes with caramelized bananas, root beer syrup and Cinnamon whipped cream that is one of my go to recipes for pancakes-
got it from right here (again from Foodnetwork)
We also had mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice (our Kroger actually has this) and I used my Rosenthal Romanze china (I’m pretty obsessed with it)
An awesome time celebrating an awesome mom!
For my husbands mom he whipped up an amazing meal of grilled lamb, chicken drumsticks, shrimp, sweet potatoes, mushrooms and more! It tasted delicious- he’s a professional on the grill!
He picked out the cutest gift for his mom- custom M&M’s with her face and her favorite puppy Oliver’s face on them in a Super Mom candy dispenser 🙂
Also check out the centerpiece I made with a wreath from West Elm and a vase and floating candles!
