Been trying to get in shape for 2013…fun times… Trying a new routine (since I just recently started it’s a little bold to call it a routine!)
I’ve been doing bikram yoga at Gaia three times a week
and then doing cardio/weight training at TreadFitness (or other) twice a week!
So far so good with feeling stronger~
BUT
I was not really feeling a whole lot skinnier so I’m also trying to fix my diet a little bit- added a green smoothie that I drink every morning before work and it’s actually pretty good! Here is my recipe and a schedule of meals for one day:
GREEN SMOOTHIE RECIPE
- 2 handfuls spinach (baby spinach)
- 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened or sweetened)
- a couple of ice cubes
- 3/4 cup blueberries (frozen or unfrozen)
- 1/2 banana (frozen or unfrozen)
- 1 tablespoon flaxseed
- 1 teaspoon Stevia (or to taste)
Breakfast:
- hard-boiled egg
- Ezekiel bread
- raspberries
- oatmeal
Lunch:
- lettuce
- tomatoes
- carrots
- tuna
- avocado
- apple
- peanut butter
Dinner:
- salmon
- broccoli
- sweet potato
Obviously I’m not going to be sticking to this perfectly but at least it’s a good idea of what I should be eating
sooo.. we shall see if I can keep working on this and shed those awesome holiday pounds 🙂
