We got engaged on a marvelous day in December in front of the Christmas tree in Rockefeller Center- it was perfect- craziness ensued- my hubby cried 🙂
It was perfect (although I did throw a fit just moments before the engagement because sometimes I’m a huge brat)- Thankfully that didn’t discourage my husband from asking me anyways! We had an amazing time and lots of good food, friends, and fun~AND we were getting married!
I got right down to planning because I’m pretty obsessed with weddings in general and had (embarrassingly) already bought a wedding dress just “because”.
I bought it through preownedweddingdresses.com and absolutely LOVE that site! One day I was browsing on the site and just saw my perfect dress!
It is an Atelier Aimee Dress from the Spring 2008 collection and I bought it from a bride in New Zealand who had purchased it in London- It was my DREAM dress
Here’s what the model looked like, you know kind of meh hehe
Here’s what I looked like in it!

There was kind of SOME drama to make sure it “fit” correctly since these things can run a tad small but it all worked out perfectly! I loved this dress but of course I had to also have..dun dun dun..a second dress! Mainly because I just figured, heck why not? You only get married once right? The second dress I found on Ebay for CHEAP and just knew I could make it into something gorgeous~
It started as this dress- a J. Mendel wedding gown (awesome designer I seriously LOVE all of his gowns)
But when I was done with it this is what it looked like on me 🙂
I moved the piece that was in the middle (not super flattering unless you’re a teeny tiny model) and moved it to go over the shoulder~ I also purchased the Lanvin shoes/sandals from Ebay for pretty cheap~Ebay is my go to site for cheap(er) lanvin shoes~
My first pair of shoes were from Ebay as well- these Valentino’s
There were other accessories as well but this post is getting long enough as it is! Till next time!
